Karen Lucas
2011-2012 Season: 11 UA Assistant Coach
Karen is very familiar to The Woodlands area as she grew up here, and is proud to tell you that she was the last class to graduate from McCullough High School. After high school she played collegiate volleyball for two years at Texas A&M Commerce before transferring to Texas A&M University in College Station to finish up her studies to become a coach. Although she is new to club, Karen is not new to coaching. She has spent the last ten years coaching High School Volleyball and is currently the Varsity Assistant coach at The Woodlands High School. Ask any of her former players and they will tell you that she is very passionate about what she does. Not only does she enjoy seeing her athletes excel in the sport they love, but she also values the opportunity to be a solid mentor for them both on and off the court. She looks forward to club season this year and the chance to teacher our younger kids on our 11 UA team. Away from coaching, Karen's most valuable accomplishments will always be her daughters, whom she of course has high hopes for their future volleyball potential one day!!!!
